But upon arrival, Caroline quickly realized there was no housekeeping job waiting for her. Instead, she was trapped in a trafficking ring, facing daily abuse and exploitation. For 11 long months, she endured unimaginable suffering, losing hope with each passing day.

Everything changed when one of our partner teams in the city recognized the signs of trafficking. They intervened and brought Caroline to safety, offering her a lifeline. They introduced her to our safehouse and sewing school program, where she could rebuild her life free from fear. For the first time in almost a year, Caroline dared to believe that freedom was possible.

Today, Caroline is living at the women’s shelter, attending sewing classes, and rediscovering joy. Her story is one of many, and with the support of compassionate donors, we can continue rescuing others from the horrors of human trafficking.

In addition to rescuing 209 victims this year, 13 traffickers have been prosecuted. Our work continues, driven by the vision of a world where no one must endure the atrocities of trafficking.
