Promise was born with severe medical issues, requiring multiple surgeries to correct her limbs and internal organs. To access specialized hospitals and treatment facilities, Annet and Promise relocated to our facilities in Kampala, leaving behind their village and familiar surroundings.

Due to the extent of Promises’ conditions, and the concern from the Covid-19 pandemic, both mom and baby had to be isolated from the rest of the community for months. During this time Annet spent her days reading bible stories to her baby, learning how to weave baskets and make beaded jewelry. This period, though challenging, strengthened their bond and Annet's determination to build a better future for her daughter.

In 2023 she was finally able to join her peers and begin studying tailoring at the School of Purpose. Her passion and talent quickly propelled her to the top of her class, and she graduated in December 2023. Annet's skills and dedication to the other girls was so impressive that she was retained and employed as the assistant teacher in the tailoring class at the Kampala campus. In her free time she loves spending time with her baby, friends and serving on the worship team.

Thanks to the prayers and support of the Impact Family, two generations were rescued, restored, and are now thriving!
