The one thing you are guaranteed to get when you meet Chanda is a big smile. This isn’t because her life has been easy.

When she was 16 her dad died leaving the family with a medical debt. She worked hard to pay it off by doing different jobs and also somehow found time to finish high school. She has battled through two kidney operations... but has been resilient, overcoming these difficulties.

Recently, she made the most of COVID-19 lockdown to teach herself macrame, and now is starting her own business with the help of our partners, NuVenture Nepal.
